North American Menopause Society has announced that in July, “The 2022 Hormone Therapy Position Statement of The North American Menopause Society” will be released. "This statement will provide the most up-to-date, evidenced-based recommendations from NAMS on the use of hormone therapy. In addition, the NAMS position statement on nonhormone management of menopause-associated vasomotor symptoms will closely follow in 2023 and will address the new medication and lifestyle options for our patients who cannot or do not want to use hormone therapy."

This is great news as guidelines and options have changed since their last update a few years ago. After the position statement becomes available, I will share specific updates as well.

NAMS will hold their annual meeting in the fall which will be available both in person and virtually for providers. It's always exciting to see and hear all the new information and on-going research in the field of mid-life women's health. I will be attending and share information from that meeting also.
